I am searching for my voice. My first few posts have included leadership lessons, transitions, and real-life happenings. I'm looking for "the thing" that calls to me because the words flow so easily when I have it. If I find myself trying too hard, it tells me this is not the proper subject, not the right time, or not my voice.
Just this week I heard for the first time Steven Wilson Jr.'s song "Grief is only love" and I've been meditating on that idea. For me, grief is finding a place to go, as it were, in poetry.
Thank you. Your prayer is more powerful than you might realise. I’ve learned that my grief is all the love I needed to get as a child, but didn’t. That is the root of my heartbreak. This is not the norm. Nor should it be. I write to give myself a voice and to give others a voice to their unseen grief, so that we can grieve, and learn to love ourselves, allow ourselves to be loved, and love others the way God loves us.
Hi, thank you for being such an encouragement on my writing journey. I'm trying out different angles (also writing different content as a PT and from personal life experience), but somehow I'm also drawn to use metaphors or poetry (where I'm pretty sure I'm breaking all the rules), but that is how the words come to me when trying to make sense of life.
Mostly, I write for therapy, currently processing events surrounding the death of my brother eight years ago, who also went missing twice. So, these quotes on grief resonated as well.

I honor your practice!
Beautiful. Timely. Helpful. Thank you.

Love and grief or like light and darkness~~we can't have one without the other.
Love the imagery play here!
I’m currently wrestling with this on the page. So grateful for your insight!
Toasting your courage as you do!
