“...truth is a far more fantastical creature...” This (in the best way) feels straight out of something from Tolkien.

Also, pondering my story’s own longings for such “unicorns,” it’s interesting to consider how the...fantastical creature of truth is often so less well dressed, so much more unexpected, and (at least before all the heartbreak) can be so easily dismissed or overlooked.
