In my last letter, I wrote about the greening and grounding days of summer, but we’re in a new season now. The leaves aren’t turning yet where I am, but the air has. I’ve started keeping a sweater in the car and my sister brought us the season’s first apples to taste from the orchard near her house.
The Fall Equinox is coming, and we’re on a threshold—which is, by its very nature, both a beginning and an ending. I never feel this both/and more than I do this time of year.
